As I become more and more frugal (read cheap) I find more and more coupons drifting around my apartment, in my work bag and in my wallet. I decided it was time for a coupon organizer, but.... who wants to PAY for such things? I hunted around on Ebay, Etsy and on google and found plenty of them but all generic and plasticy or way more expensive than I'm willing to pay. Then looked around my craft room.
I had a small sheet of leather that came in book of furniture upholstery samples that I thrifted. I had some old place mats with interfacing in them to make nice dividers. I had some wooden toggles to slip through the rivet holes to latch it shut.
..and now... I have a coupon organizer. It's not every elegant but it's quite sturdy and it has controlled my runaway coupons.

I'm all set for my weekly shopping trip.
A few scores this week:
Rite aid b1g1 free Finish Quantum tabs @ 4.29. I had two 1.00 off coupons so = 1.15 per box of dishwasher tabs (about 3 months worth of dishwashing).
M&Ms on sale @ Kmart for 2.80 for a large bag. I have KMart coupon for 2.00/2 and TWO manufacturers coupons of 1.00 off. So 2 big bags of M&Ms for 1.60.
Fresh Express Salad on sale @ Safeway for 1.99 and I have a 2.00 off coupon so..free salad.
Lastly I have a 5.00 coupon off a purchase of 10.00 or more @ the local Dollar store. I'm in LOVE with their Black Cherry scented candles and their coconut scented hand wash. They also have name brand cleaning supplies so I'll stock up on those and possibly get some baskets for tidying up under the sinks.
